Dialogue in the Teaching of Values: a Curriculum Innovative Mediation

Resumen
Throughout the last few years the importance of dialogue in education has been highlighted as an innovative procedure in curricular development. The aim of this article is to delve deeply into comprehension of dialogue as a means for teaching values. Taking as starting point the polemics between objectivity and subjectivity of values, the difference between values recognition linked to a valued relativity, and the giving or building of values in accordance with axiological relativism, will be stated. From this distinction we might either interpret dialogue as an educational means orientated towards truth discovering, or as an educational end in which participation as a way to construct truth, is a priority.
