This works examines the most crucial dialog in Plato’s Gorgias, where Socrate confronts Calicles. The assumption is that this dialog is fundamental in Platonic philosophy, which is considered, in turn, a matrix in the philo-sophical project of Metaphysics. Such a view is conceived in Gorgias as a net of power and knowledge interrelations, established from a radical reflection about death as a basis for life and truth. This analysis intends to validate such hypothesis.
