In 1972 a tapestry titled Janus (ca.1960) made by French artist Jean Lurçat (1892-1966) arrived in Chile. The donation, probably made by his widow, echoed the call for a project conceived to support the Chilean way to socialism: The Museum of Solidarity. Janus is the only tapestry of the museum’s collection.
