Summary

The human person’s individuality belongs to the central questions of Edith Stein in all her writings. Already in the early works she reaches at a comprehension of personal individuality in the sense of a qualitative singularity as presupposed for any material disposition and other influences from outside. At the same time Stein is interested to show that the individuality of every person is oriented: how do we have to understand such an individual finality and how pedagogy can integrate it? That are the questions to be investigated starting from Stein.
