History

History, Founded in 1961, it is a magazine on-line Free and open access, aimed at a specialized public, which publishes unpublished articles in Spanish, English and Portuguese, the result of original research and related to the history of Chile and America. It also promotes interdisciplinary dialogue and the continental perspective, which is why it also includes studies on art, anthropology, geography, literature and other disciplines that contribute to the epistemological debate and progress in the knowledge of the history of America and the history of Chile in American perspective.

Every annual number of History It consists of two semi-annual volumes (June and December). In the corresponding to the January-June semester of each year, in addition to articles, bibliographic essays and reviews of recent books are included.

The journal submits the texts received to peer review outside the publishing institution ("double-blind" system), with a minimum of two specialists linked to the respective field of study. In case of dispute, the proposal will be sent to a third evaluator. Once the reports are received, they will be sent to the author together with the resolution. The evaluation process can take between 6 and 8 months.
