Summary

Law # 20.016-2005, modifies in several ways the 18th article of the LGUC, particularly, when it distinguishes both the different elements of construction that may cause a damage and the different terms in which the responsibility of the professionals of constructions may be made effective . That is why, in the first place, this is an attempt to make a historic outline of how the LGUC has ruled the responsibility of the professionals of construction in order to, right after, make an attempt to determine the range of the new terms ( 10, 15 and 3 years) that have been ruled in which this responsibility can be made effective. And, in the third place, it tries to specify each of the elements of constructions whose defectiveness (fault or defect) may cause a damage or harm that must be repaired.
