Summary
The theoretical approach between aesthetics of the atmosphere proposed by Gernot Böhme and the lectures by Rodolf von Laban on «choreutics» permits us to develop a suggestive methodology to establish a number of sensitive dialogues between dance and architecture. Our intention, from the fi eld of dance studies, is to promote theawareness of the senses and the perception of movement in relation to the architectural space. We shall present theoretical-practical examples for this proposal together with the architecture of the Jewish Museum Berlin by Daniel Libeskind and the Dialogues 99 choreography by Sasha Waltz, both opened in June 1999.
