Summary

The present article analyzes the history of four families from the point of view of its behaviors and attitudes; that it confronts their sensibilities and realities; and it tries to observe, through divorce cases, the interior of the lives of these marriages, to understand the causes or circumstances that make them derive in projects of unfinished unions.
The worked documentation, they are four divorce trials, rescued from the Eccle- siastical File of Concepción's Archbishopric that trials have as selection approach to have arrived to definitive resolution on the part of the ecclesiastical tribunal. Specifically in this article we will center our analyses in the speech that the women sustain when interposing the demand of the divorce.
