Summary
Specialized management of the airway (AV) is essential in emergency units where orotracheal intubation has been the technique of choice to achieve it. A difficult airway is defined as a clinical situation in which a trained medical team experiences difficulties in ventilation and/or intubation.
Acute airway obstruction constitutes one of the most extreme medical emergencies, requiring immediate intervention. We present the case of a patient with inspiratory stridor with immediate intubation criteria where a tumor in the vocal cords with airway obstruction is evident.
