The Colombian journalism on Twitter: usage of the tool in the professional practice

Resumen
Based on a mixed methodology, which triangulates the data obtained in a survey of 300 journalists, 20 interviews and an analysis of content, this research seeks to establish how Colombian journalists use Twitter to search for information, build messages, and create communities. The results allow us to establish that, despite the various possibilities that this platform allows for the construction of innovative and multimedial messages, the majority of Colombian journalists do not use them nor do they seek to generate interactivity and two-way communication with their audiences.
