Perverse violence in educational contexts. Challenges for Social Work
Resumen
Perverse violence are those subtle practices or tactics of aggression, aimed at morally and psychologically destroying a person, through hurtful words, lies, sarcasms, disqualifications, humiliations, irony, innuendo or inquiring looks, manipulation, denigration, harassment, indifference, hostility, intimidation, among many other forms of aggression that are imperceptible on most occasions. This form of violence does not respect social, economic, or political status, much less gender or age, it can be suffered by both adults and children in any context be this family, social or school. In this sense, the objective of this text is to describe the bullying practices that are experienced in 67 elementary schools in the city of Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico. Concluding after interviewing 1,307 children between 10 and 14 years old that perverse violence is present, and diluted among those known as practices or behaviors of intimidation or bullying. Recognized as part of the framework of perverse violence; which requires education professionals, administrators and social workers linked to the educational setting to be trained on this phenomenon. To identify it in principle, and encourage secondly, to generate effective prevention and care protocols.
